Membership Day was widely observed

June 14 was observed as SFI membership day for the year 2007-08 and was inagurated by SFI State Secretary M.Swaraj at AKG Memorial Higher Secondary School, Kannur. The first membership was given to Athulya, a 9 th grade student and SFI Unit President for the School. The occassion was addressed by Kannur District President P.K.Sabarish Kumar, State Committee Member M.Ratheesh. Thalassery Area Secretary Jeevesh and school unit secretary P.Y.Shibin.
District wise membership works were inagurated by SFI State President Sindhu Joy at Govt: Model School Thiruvananthapuram. State joint secretaries P.Biju, A.N.Shamseer, Roshan Roy Mathew, V.P.Prasanth inagurated the membership works at Kollam, Kottayam, Kozhikode, Alapuzha respectively. The works at Malappuram, Wayanad, Pathanamthitta and Thrissur were inagurated by State vice presidents V.Sivadasan, V.S.Nikitha, V.N.Rajesh, K.I.Shabir respectively in Kasargodu, Palakkadu, Ernakulam and Idukki the works were inagurated by state secretariate members Subash Chandran, A.M.Ajith, K.T.Mathew and Lijo Jose respectively. On the first day itself around 6 lakh student became SFI members.

SFI gives its hand to crub the epidemics

SFI organised a state wide cleaning activities and other works. On the wake of the spreading epidemics and other discovers the school-college student undertook the cleaning works. The worksites were govt hospitals, school-college campuses etc. Medical camps were also initiated at disease prone areas by SFI and various campagines were also help to protect one from the spreading diseases.
The cleaning activities that took place at Govt: Hospital Thycadu was attended and led by SFI State Secretary M.Swaraj Trivandrum District Secretary R.S.KiranDev, K.Shibu, S.Sivaprasad etc. The works took place at I.T.I Yeattumannur was led by SFI State Secretary Sindhu Joy State Vice presidents V.N.Rajesh, T.Renjith, Aneer Muhammed etc. Three medical camps were organised at Ramapuram, Velliyannur and Uzhavoor areas.
Under SFI leadership cleaning activities were helped at all districts and allmost all the campuses. Students including girls look active participation in the programme.

Glorious Win For S.F.I in Kerala Univercity Union Election

SFI male a glorious victory in Kerala University Union Election. All the post of Union Bearers are won by SFI candidates. Besides SFI won by majority seats to in Seanet, Student’s Council, Exicutive Committee, and Accounts Committee. ChintaJerom, student of Fathima Matha National College, Kollam and state committee member was elected as the Kerala University Union Chairperson and Arun V.K, student of H.H Maharaja’s University College Trivandrum, and distric committee member was elected as the General Secretary. Out of the total polled votes Chintha bagged 107 and Arun 105 votes.
Appu.Y and Ratheesh Kumar are elected as vice-chairman. Maneesa was elected as vice-chairperson. Vineeth and N.Mahaboob were elected as joint secretaries.
Out of the ten seats to seneaf SFI bagged six and seven seats to student’s council. Out of 15 seats to the Executive Committee SFI bagged II. Four out of five members in the accounts committee members are SFI candidates.

An Inspiring Study Camp

SFI State Study camp was organised at E.M.S Accademy Trivandrum on June 1, 2 and 3. The camp was inaugurated by Deshabhimani Chief Editor V.V.Dakshinamoorthy. Classes were held on various topics and were conducted by P. Rajeev, N.V.P.Unnithirri, P.S.Sreekala, K.K.Ragesh, T.K.Narayanadas, K.E.N and Prof: Suja Susan. A debate on the subject Self Financing Education and Minority Rights was held at june 2 evening 4.30. Minister for Education and Cultural Affairs M.A.Baby inaugurated the Function. Dr.J.Prabuch; P.SreeRamakrishnan, K.K.ragesh attented the discussion. The camp was officially concluded on June 3 evening 4.P.M
